Best Tamale Pot Ever!!
We have been looking for a good pot to make tamales for years. this one not only is sturdy and beautiful, it has the dividers so we were able to make different types of tamales at the same time. The spout to add water is also the best thing ever, with other pots we would have to leave a space in the middle of the pot to add water when needed. We filled the pot with plenty of tamales and they were done within an hour, usually we’d have to wait 2-3 hours. This pot is definitely the best decision we’ve made and we highly recommend getting it. We’re even thinking of getting another one before tamale season next year! If you’re thinking about getting this- stop thinking and just get it, trust me it’s 100% worth it!

Really big.
Ordered for my Christmas tamales. Loved the divider. Was able to stand tamales up. Used 16 cups of water to fill the bottom and when I did have to add more water, the spout on side made it simple. Probably should have down sized, being short I had to use a step stool to reach inside. I still might order the smaller one. Best investment.

Bought this pot for my wife for tamales and crab legs. The open spout on side realy facilitates adding water while steaming (no more pulling lid off and tamales put to add water!). Everyone's tamales are different but we average 75 at a time in the 32 qt pot.

We have been selling tamales at farmers markets and using a regular stock pot with a colander in the bottom! We now have this beautiful?stainless?steel?pot perfect for steaming tamales. We couldn't be more excited. It came 2 days earlier than expected!

Easy to refill for steaming. Great product. I love the spout feature, makes it very easy to monitor water levels although after steaming for four hours I had minimal water loss and did not have to add any water which is great. The divider made it much easier to stack tamales, I managed to fit 40 large tamales in pot (20qt.). I made 103 but I had used my old steamer for the other 63 ( they were smaller). Time was the same but water loss was significant in older style pot plus it's aluminum and I wanted stainless steel. Note to person who complained it's not steel because it's not magnetic. good steel is not magnetic! My stainless steel stove/ oven is not magnetic and that sucker cost me an arm and a leg. Oh another good point... excellent price for a really well made professional pot that is NSF rated.

FAQ

Although this tamale steamer looks very similar to a stock pot, it cannot be used as one due to the unique spout design. The bottom of this tamale steamer pot fits a maximum of 2 inches of water. It is perfect for making tamales, fresh vegetables, or lobsters.

To steam tamales, fill the tamale steamer pot with about 1.5 inches of water. Place the tamales or other food ingredients in the steamer. Bring the water to a boil, then let them steam with a covered lid. You can also put a quarter in the steamer to help determine when to add more water.

The ARC tamale steamer and parts are made of 100% premium food-grade stainless steel. It can be used on gas and electric stove tops but NOT on induction stove tops.

Depending on the circumstances, cooked tamales can be kept at room temperature for up to a few hours. To keep them fresh and away from bacteria, it is not recommended to leave tamales in the steamer for more than 2 hours.

To care for stainless steel steamer pot, rinse off excess food with warm water. Soak and wash the steamer in warm, soapy water. To prevent spotting, you should wipe dry the steamer immediately with a microfiber cloth. Make sure to dry it thoroughly before storing it away.
